English Speaking Union: Tucson Branch

Formally organized in the United States in 1920, the English Speaking Union celebrates English as a shared language to foster global understanding and good will by providing educational and cultural opportunities for students, educators, and members. They organize a national Shakespeare competition, which assists high school teachers across the country with their Shakespeare and language arts curriculum. Through the competition, students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and an appreciation of the power of language and literature.
